Since 1775, Houbigant Parfum has been synonymous with the art of French perfumery — a house born on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré that went on to scent the courts of Napoleon, Napoleon III, Alexander III of Russia, and Queen Victoria. Founded by Jean-François Houbigant of Grasse (1752–1807), the maison began as a purveyor of gloves, bridal bouquets, and exquisite fragrances under the sign À la Corbeille de Fleurs, at 19, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
Over the centuries, the House of Houbigant became perfumer to the royal courts of Europe, its name a byword for Parisian luxury and savoir-faire. This fashion plate, No. 5107, captures the elegance and refinement that defined Houbigant's world — where beauty, craftsmanship, and French style were inseparable.
